What does the Accordant program do?

The Accordant program is designed to help our program members find the answers and support they need to manage their health care needs and maximize their overall health status. This specialized education and support program is offered for members with the following conditions:

Does Accordant's program manage other conditions that its members have, in addition to the rare conditions?

Several conditions have strong associations with the rare conditions. For example, members with rheumatoid arthritis may develop CAD (coronary artery disease) as the disease progresses, or CHF (congestive heart failure) during the course of therapy with some medications. In addition, osteoporosis can occur in members with several diseases in which steroids are used in high doses over prolonged periods of time. Likewise, members with cystic fibrosis frequently have asthma, diabetes, or both, along with their underlying condition. For reasons such as these, the Accordant program is designed to work with all aspects of a member's condition, including comorbidities.
